Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear

From the very first lesson in the Lesson Book Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear keep your child engaged with their story of high sounds and low sounds. Mozart Mouse likes to play on the high sounding end of the piano, understandably, because he is a mouse with a high squeaky voice. Beethoven Bear prefers the low sounding end because he has a deep, gruff voice. Your child will enjoy becoming part of the musical story as the two friends explain how music works. Some of the concepts of opposites learnt in music are: high/low, fast/slow, up/down, left/right, loud/soft, increasing and decreasing in speed, increasing and decreasing in volume. Mozart and Beethoven assist students in a broad understanding of their world

Through their soft toy representative these composers give valuable insights in to the world of music, lesson by lesson. The Supplementary Books

The colourful and exciting adventures of Mozart and Beethoven continue in your child’s Work Book. Learning how to write music, read letter names, finding the correct notes on the piano and transfer playing skills to theory will always be a pleasure for your little one. At Music Matters we primarily use the Lesson and Work Books along with the CD. However, other books in the series may be purchased as supplementary material. Each page of the Work Book is filled with colourful, attractive pictures. Black and white colouring in pages encourage students to follow up at home to revisit the musical concepts learn in lesson. Concepts presented are duplicated in the Work Books for consolidation of learning.

The CD’s

There are four basic Lesson Books and Work Books in the series along with four accompaniment CD’s. Other options are also available to purchase, including flash cards, soft toys, Music Discovery books and Recital Books. Each level of Music for Little Mozarts has two accompaniment CD’s. One is for the Lesson Book and one is for the Discovery Book. Each song in the lesson book has its own accompaniment. A piano accompaniment is written in the students’ book for the teacher to play along with, making each song a delightful duet. Students also play along with the CD which gives the correct timing and a professional sounding backing. Learning the piano is accelerated by regular use of the CD both at lesson and at home.
